The night was young at Moskito: The Rock Bar, but it wouldn’t be able to keep up with the party!
Alma’s Atrocious Birthday Carnival was an overwhelming success. With a full house all night long, Alma celebrated among friends and family what would become one of the most important nights of her life.
The night kicked off with some anarchic punk from La Vieja Estirpe. After a their set, the crowd was elated to watch an amazing performance by metal maniac, El Tripi y los Malamadre. El Tripi, with his heavy Spanish accent and rock & roll attitude, entertained the crowds with his heavy riffs, gruff voice and hilarious lyrics and interludes.
Meanwhile, to the crowd’s delight, Cyanide Girl Marilyn Mandee was getting body painted by our very own Krystal Umi. After this set, The Caged delighted us with a psychedelic alternative rock performance, with Wolf’s powerful vocals taking the main stage. Following The Caged, the Cyanide Girls (Nikki Red, Alexia Riot and a painted Marilyn Mandee) got on the bar to perform their dance routine for Marilyn Manson’s version of Tainted Love, much to the crowd’s liking.
Then, the most unexpected part of the evening. Surrounded by friends and family, Alma’s boyfriend, Draco, called her up on the stage. Stating his love for her and how he should have done this sooner, Draco suddenly dropped to one knee and proposed to his stunned beloved. The crowd cheered on as she said yes and they held each other in a powerful embrace. (Tears were spotted all over the place)
After this celebration, the guys from WPBS.TB held their Beer Bong Challenge, where two brave men attempted, but ultimately failed, to conquer the almighty beer bong.
Then Las Cargas came to the stage and closed the night with a stupendous set of their punk rock. Dressed in their signature bloody costumes, Las Cargas rocked the crowd with fan favorites like “Alcoholico Esquisofrénico”.
After all was said and done, Alma’s closest and dearest stayed in for a private birthday celebration.
All in all, it was an amazing night. We at Cyanide Nation would like to congratulate Alma and Draco on their very memorable night and wish them the best! Thanks for allowing us to be part of this very special night! (And guys… video of the proposal, COMING SOON!)
